Torch321ListeningI love this podcast listen and relisten and share with others. I want to alert you that the advertising you do for the water purifier does NOT recognize the code for 20% off any water purifiers. I tried to order a purifier and when I tried multiple times to use the code NOTHING MUCH it was “Invalid.” I used their Chat to talk to Robinson Velasquez., who never heard of this podcast or any 20% discount. How disappointing! I even tried using their Chat land no in the show notes… so frustrated. I would not advertise for them anymore if I was you!

Mel2816Love thisThis is a beautiful way to escape into a simple story with a beautiful soundscape. Keeps my mind gently occupied and I enjoy the stories about the village and every day life. Thank you for this podcast as it is great for anxiety and relaxation.

Vintage opalHyggeThis podcast is lovely. I don’t use it for sleep. I keep it on in the background when I want to listen to something cozy and warm. It’s relaxing, soothing and reminds me of someone creating a Hygge setting. Highly recommend

proncessmarigoldComfy Cozy EscapeRespite from a busy mind. Balm for the worries of the world. Thank goodness for The Village of Nothing Much! <3 It gives us sweet, simple, bedtime stories that sooth and charm us to sleep in the pod Nothing Much Happens. <3 It gives us a simple meditation practise for the morning in the pod First This. Not too complicated, not too long, just the right dose of mindfulness in the morning. The best way to start the day. <3 Are you looking for enchanting, intriguing, fun stories about the people and places you have come to love in The Village of Nothing Much? You got it in the pod by the same name! Fabulous stores to listen to while you walk, commute, fold clothes, weed the garden, chop up veggies for supper ~ you get the idea. I LOVED the walking tour! More please. Highly recommend.
-
Static417Loved!The walking tour was so much fun! It really brought the museum and grounds to light fe!
-
BlackCat 620RespiteThank you from a patron! I need mental help from Trump. You’re it!
-
Loubob46Changed?It seems as though you have changed the way you present the story, as more of a “walking tour” speaking directly to the audience rather than a story about a fictional, pleasant place. I don’t think it works as well and rather than relaxing, I feel as if I must be on alert and participating.

Scout2u1These relaxing stories, I listen to them often. So Enjoyable! I subscribed to support this show because the style, Kathryn’s voice, and the production are calm, fun, and comforting. I’m noticing more that narrated stories tend to seem more engaging and authentic to me when told by the person who penned them.

amycieslakSimply The Best! 🧡Happy Birthday, Kathryn! Wishing you many wonderful moments on your very special day. Thank you for creating three of the BEST PODCASTS EVER!!! I’m so grateful for you and your beautiful heart. 🫶

MCletUsRapBrings Life Back to LifeI stumbled across this podcast about a year ago and it’s truly been one of my most favorite little delights that I try to treat myself to every day. Katherine has a special power of making everyday little moments absolutely magical and through listening to these moments, it’s helped transform the way that I look at my little day-to-day happening…learning to cherish finding funny surprising things like a holiday wreath made out of lemons or having an impromptu dance parties to a playlist of songs about cats with my wife and 3 year old as the autumn sun lights up our colorful living room. Can’t get enough of your work, you truly are a gift to this world and BTW, Happy Birthday!!!

Stressed in SFToo many adsAn obscene number of ads and ad breaks. Feels like 20 adds in a 30ish minute show.
-
casserole666Ads in middle I can’t doI love the other podcasts produced in this universe but unfort the ads in the middle make this something I literally can’t listen to when sleeping which was the whole reason I played these podcasts.
-
Hoki405Great stories…butI find the background music very distracting. While the occasional sound effects are OK, the background music is just not necessary. Kathryn Nicolai is a wonderful writer and storyteller! Her voice is soothing and lyrical. I don’t understand the need for background music.
-
Olive;CatYogaI would love to experience a yoga class with you💓

Dr.DLLLife saverThis podcast single handedly made me look forward to bedtime. The combination of the voice, the story and the music makes this podcast unique and a must have for me. I also I can’t stress enough how wonderful the music is and how much it enhances the story telling. Sometimes I find myself weeping at the beauty of all of it. THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION

Maurice FrankDelightful Stories - A Joy to Listen toI love listening to these wonderful stories. The recurring setting and characters make me feel like I know them and am part of them, almost list imaginary friends. Kathryn Nicolai, the host, speaks with warmth and joy. Highly recommended.

🪄🌟❤️🔥Since the beginningI’ve been in the Village of Nothing Much since the very beginning. And I’m so happy to see the community grow in this way. Thank you, Katherine and Bob, for the work you do 🥰

💜It’sAlannah💜Katherine, I’m worried.Listening to this makes me cry. But not happy. Like, devastated. I don’t think that’s healthy. And it’s been happening since I started listening to you, so I’m gonna have to unfollow and unsubscribe. You just lost me.

rainbow_809May be the best writer of all time!Katherine writes the best stories!!! I don’t know how she does it but I love it and have recommended this.

ittibittibrittiKathryn is a wonderKathryn, what a great talent to share! Thank you so much for creating the Village, the sleep podcast, and the meditations. I am already sleeping through the night (lifelong insomniac) and finding daily joy and ease in your stories and messages. I read an unkind review and I'm really sorry about that. I bet you are skilled in managing those...and I wsh people would remember that a real person reads these. As far as I'm concerned, I really hope you keep writing. I am so hungry and excited for more tiny moments in the Village! You are a wonder. 😊🪄📖✍🏼🏡☃️👒🍳

C ✌️👩🏻❤️ LOVE ❤️I love this because it is like the bed time story but made so you don’t fall asleep. And then you can finally here the end of the story’s to. All the story’s sound scape’s are great and it is so relaxing to hear them and they go with the story and what is happening perfectly. Keep up the great work ♥️

mehvishkhan123The best!!!This is the kind of the escape that my heart and mind didn’t even know it needed. Thank you for weaving these beautiful stories so mundane and rooted in the seasons that it calms and uplifts my spirit. Love love love listening 💓
-
Wootsy1Lovely…I want to live in this village created by this talented team. Thank you for providing a slice of serenity and decency from which we can partake. What a lovely oasis in the midst of our arid compartmentalized modern lives.
-
SisterB66Game Changer for my Mental HealthI so appreciate these sweet stories from the Village of Nothing Much. It is the perfect antidote to the never ending barrage of negative content out there. Thank you so much.
-
JazzyReviewlove it! except...i love this podcast it helps so much with sleeping, but i can't afford to subscribe to every podcast to remove ads. i don't mind listening to ads, but there has to be a better way to deliver them! for example, reading the ads in the host's voice without blasting annoying ads and ruining the mood. i understand that ads are necessary to keep things running, but PLEASE FIND A BETTER WAY TO DELIVER THEM! Great pod otherwise! <3

Lisa from LapeerChicken Soup for the Listener’s SoulI cannot believe how much I love these stories!!! I found this podcast from an ad on another podcast and decided to try listening. I could feel my body relaxing as I listened. I found myself closing my eyes and making the story come to life in my head. Having grown up in a small town, many of these stories of simple pleasures resonate deeply with me, bringing healing and reminding me of my childhood. Thank you for sharing your stories!!!😊
-
Cami2224Perfect for cozy, slow livingThis podcast is like being wrapped in a chunky knit blanket on a chilly evening.
-
ShnuzelsnoutFantasticI love these stories but the new ones definitely don’t make me want to sleep last time. I get that it’s meant to be able to listen to without falling asleep because it’s enjoyable to hear the whole story but the background is so bothersome to me atleast with the snow, train models, and Joy. All of the older stories I love but would enjoy more details or more intimacy with other people maybe romantic or more sensory information with feeling descriptions like tempatures or even heart beating or tastes or even something like a body scan experience!
-
HintofWinterThe Norman Rockwell of podcastsI love this podcast. It’s friendly and welcoming, envelopes you in a sense of childhood innocence. A world where everything is lovely and good. You come away from each episode feeling refreshed, calmer, happier.
-
I_heart_music_668So Calming! ❤️Love this podcast so much!!! I love listening to these calming stories of life and the enticing descriptions are so picturesque. I’m new to this podcast but I am positive that I will be a frequent listener! Thank you so much for this little comfort in life, this made my day!😍
-
04RyA shameThe ads are horrible and ruin this wonderful “village”. There must be a better way…..and it is simply not realistic to subscribe to every podcast, now that they all are asking for money.
-
Halfpint 86RelaxingNew to this podcast and enjoying the relaxation of listening to these stories daily. Thank you!

LadykbuggThank you! This show brings me so much joy and positive. It has had a great impact on my life and keeping grounded when I need it most! So THANK YOU!

Raysplays HenryLoud adsLove the sound architecture but once you feel cozy With Katherine loud ads come screaming in your ear I also love nothing much happens. Oh and my name is Henry Thomas Ray.
-
MarillenbaumMy weekly treatI love these little visits to my favorite village since St. Mary Mead—these stories are gentle, soothing, and deeply immersive. I have already listened to every episode several times!
-
nieztcha_machinaYikesIf you are listening to the ad version of this podcast and trying to relax, good luck. Between calming verse you’ll have the loudest and most abrasive ads one can think of. It is terrific irony, but not in an amusing way.
-
listening4joyandpeaceJarring adsSuch calming scenarios presented by a soothing voice, creating relaxation, and then… Loud and obnoxious commercials suddenly in your ear! Sure, you can pay $5/month, $60/year to go ad free but it’s not worth that.I will unsubscribe and look for a better value.
